*Once Upon a Time Theatre Camp

Ages 6-10

July 15-19, 9-12pm

Once upon a time in a magical far-away theatre camp, children set out to explore the fantastic world of fairy tales.  They will use their voices and imaginations to bring to life classic fairy tales while learning about theatre appreciation, acting skills and movement.  Students will work together to defeat the villains of the Enchanted Forest, act and dance out their inner Snow White or Prince Charming and of course move like Seven Dwarfs!  On the last day of camp, grown-ups will come far and wide to view these new fairy tales and they will live happily ever after.

This week is dedicated to teaching students literary appreciation, creative writing skills and book binding. Capping off our weeklong exploration will be a staged reading of the students work led by modern drama and young adult theatre educator, Jenni Nettleton.
