Even if you don't recognize his name you know his music and his virtuoso sound. Chuck Leavell has played the piano, keyboards and organ with bands from the Allman Brothers Band, to Sea Level, Eric Clapton, the Black Crowes, John Mayer, Train and George Harrison. And he's been touring as music director and keyboard player with a little band called The Rolling Stones since 1983.
When he's not busy influencing rock and roll with a soulful bass hand and simultaneous melodies on the piano he's an award winning tree farmer, conservationist and author. He lives and farms with his wife Rose Lane on 4000 acres in Georgia.
Coming this September, GPAC and Mempho Presents are bringing you An Evening with Chuck Leavell. This once-in-a-lifetime show will combine excerpts from the feature length film Tree Man which documents Chuck's musical career and his environmental activism, a live performance, and a conversation with Matt Ross-Spang all in the intimate setting of the Duncan-Williams Performance Hall.
Join us for an evening that will change the way you think about the earth and the music you love. Learn more about Chuck Leavell below.
