In 2007, sixteen years after the release of the original film, New Line Cinema brought this feature film adaptation of the Tony-award-winning Broadway production Hairspray to life. Based on John Waters' 1988 cult classic about star-struck teenagers on a local Baltimore dance show, the comedy features new and original material. Boasting a star-studded cast, this bright, campy and wonderfully light film is sure to leave you feeling cheerful.
