Willis Alan Ramsey is an eminent American singer/songwriter and a cult legend among fans of Americana and Texas country. He released his self-named, critically acclaimed album Willis Alan Ramsey on the Shelter label in 1972. The album included "Muskrat Candlelight," which was covered (under the title "Muskrat Love") by America in 1973 and by Captain & Tennille in 1976. Several other notable artists have gone on to cover his witty, introspective songs, including Widespread Panic, Waylon Jennings, Jimmy Buffett, and so many more. In 2000, Ramsey appeared at Austin City Limits to showcase his classic hits as well as new, unreleased material.
In the last 40 years, Keith Sykes has become a renowned storyteller and a massively successful songwriter with credits on over 100 songs recorded by artists from Rosanne Cash to George Thorogood. He even toured the country with Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band and recorded the Volcano album after co-writing the title track with Jimmy. Touring every corner of America and playing in just about every conceivable kind of venue, he has appeared on Saturday Night Live and Austin City Limits and hosted songwriter nights on Memphis’ legendary Beale Street with many of music’s most talented songwriters.
