April is National Poetry Month and we’re kicking off Germantown’s own annual sidewalk poetry contest with a party! In collaboration with Germantown Library, Germantown Parks & Recreation, and the Department of Public Works, the Germantown Public Art Commission announces the Word Travels Annual Poetry Contest. Each year, winning poetry entries will be imprinted on sidewalks throughout the city! Come to The Grove on April 11 and learn all about the project, participate in literary activities provided by the library, and enjoy food truck fare, live music, and more at this super-family-friendly, outdoor event. The event is free and registration is required.
