Over the course of a multifaceted career spanning four decades, Memphis native and jazz giant Dee Dee Bridgewater has ascended to the upper echelon of vocalists.

The show features new work by Osvaldo Golijov based on the book by David Grossman. The piece is called Falling out of Time and is somewhere between song cycle and chamber opera. It was written for 3 vocalists and 9 musicians and features electronics, kamancheh, pipa, sheng, trumpet, percussion, string quintet and vocals. Performers include Wu Man, Kayhan Kalhor and Wu Tong.
